Annika Sorenstam introduces new Chardonnay and wine club at Wente VineyardsRead More >>

The success of Annika's partnership with winemaker Karl Wente relies on a mutual devotion to detail. That kind of precision is what has made Annika one of the world's most respected golf champions. It's also what has established true excellence in the quality of the wines that bear her name.
The Source of Annika Wine
Annika's wines are sourced from 3000 sustainably farmed estate vineyards, chosen for their outstanding fruit and consistent quality. The grapes that compose Annika's Syrah are nurtured by the rich soils, sunny days, and cool nights of California's wine country. And of course, Annika and Karl have enhanced the Syrah's flavors with grapes grown throughout the Wente Championship Golf Course.
Blended for Harmony, Aged to Perfection
Annika Vineyards 2006 Syrah draws on the bounty of the Wente Estate Vineyards in the Livermore Valley, as well as Wente's vineyards in the famed Napa Valley. The appellation consists of 75% Livermore Valley Syrah, 15% Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Livermore Valley Cabernet Sauvignon for the perfect balance of bold and mellow flavors.
Once transformed by fermentation, the 2006 Syrah was then gracefully aged in a combination of new American, French, Eastern European, and old/neutral barrels. After aging for a total of 24 months, this limited production of 611 cases was blended and bottled, waiting to be sipped and savored at your leisure.
Annika Vineyards 2008 Chardonnay was harvested from the Ranch 4 block on the Livermore Valley estate. These particular vineyards are known for their outstanding fruit and production consistency making them the optimal selection for the Annika Chardonnay.
After being handpicked, these Chardonnay grapes were hand sorted at the winery, then gently pressed and barrel-fermented in French, American, Eastern European and neutral oak. A long, cool fermentation allows for the retention of the fruit flavors and beautiful integration of the flavors from the oak.
