About

Annika grew up in a small town in Sweden and went on to become the greatest female golfer of our generation and is often regarded as the best player in LPGA history. Her prestigious list of accomplishments includes her 2003 induction into the World Golf and LPGA Halls of Fame, ten Major Championships, 89 worldwide professional victories, eight LPGA Player of the Year Awards and participation on eight Solheim Cup teams. In June 2008, Annika was named an ambassador of the United States Golf Association and along with Jack Nicklaus, she was named a Global Ambassador by the International Golf Federation in an effort to bring golf to the 2016 Olympic Games.

Annika stepped away from competitive golf in 2009 to pursue the ANNIKA brand of businesses. These include the ANNIKA Academy, ANNIKA Financial Group, numerous golf course design projects around the world, the ANNIKA Collection of apparel with Cutter & Buck, and a signature fragrance. Annika has also authored two books, the second being “Golf Annika’s Way” in October 2004. The ANNIKA brand was featured in Duane Knapp’s award winning book, “The Brand Promise.”

Annika feels very strongly about giving back, and in 2007, the ANNIKA Foundation was created to teach children the importance of living a healthy, active lifestyle through fitness and nutrition, and offer aspiring junior golfers opportunities to pursue their dreams. In 2008, along with Eli Manning, Annika was named the “Most Caring Athlete” by USA Weekend Magazine.

In 2009, she was married to Mike McGee and the two are expecting a daughter in the fall. Annika enjoys time at home with family and friends, and loves to cook, which ties in nicely with her passion for fine wines.
